Founding partners Eric Kolber and Taryn Ashlock have been providing consulting services to companies using Yardi Systems software solutions since 2017. Prior to consulting, Eric and Taryn were key members of the Yardi Systems organization for a combined 25 years, primarily specializing in Senior Living. During that time, they held various positions that enabled them to achieve a high level of Yardi software competency. These roles ranged from project management, training, implementation assistance, and technical support, to system architecture and programming. Their technical skills and understanding of client business needs combined with their intimate knowledge of Yardi’s software capabilities, reporting tools, and database structure, now provide a crucial foundation for ensuring efficient and timely implementation and reporting projects, as well as ongoing software support for continued business success.
Additionally, in their respective leadership roles at Yardi, Eric and Taryn collaborated with a diverse mix of senior living organizations on the design and enhancement of Yardi’s Senior Living Suite software. These experiences have given them a unique understanding of both the goals and challenges of the senior living industry, and the nuanced skills required to leverage Yardi's software solutions to their maximum potential.
Eric Kolber (www.linkedin.com/in/eric-kolber) was part of Yardi Systems for more than 17 years, most notably as Vice President of the Senior Living division. Eric started his Yardi career in client services, providing technical support and account management to some of the largest commercial, residential, and international companies. He was also a distinguished member of Yardi's software development team, authoring code for a variety of modules and features. Prior to his career in software, Eric was a commercial fishing boat captain operating out of Santa Barbara Harbor.
Taryn Ashlock (www.linkedin.com/in/taryn-ashlock) was part of the Yardi Senior Living team for 8 years. Taryn began her Yardi tenure as a technical account manager assisting clients with implementation, training, and support, before moving into the role of Product Manager for the Senior Living division. She has a background in computer engineering, and was a regular participant in the software enhancement process for Yardi Senior Living. Taryn holds a United States Coast Guard 100-ton Captain’s license that, during various hiatuses in her software career, she has used to work on a live-aboard scuba diving vessel, and as a sailing instructor. She and her husband spent eight years cruising the South Pacific on their 34-foot sailboat.
